Why after listing Peal Harbor did you put American as if thats a reason that its bad?
And if Harry Potter is an American view of what Britain is like then take it up with J.K. Rowling.

Amelie will cope a top one. LOTR could possibly clean sweep in a lot of areas. Thers a new catagory for animation next year.
Planet of the apes is a shoe in for best make up. Apart from them its been a pretty sparse year. I also believe that the hollywood big shots are pushing post production on The Shipping News to get it released before the deadline.

The Oscars are in March. I've already heard hype for Ewan McGregor in Black Hawk down and of course Lord of the Rings, two films yet to be released.
